Default Carrera Lightweights Are On

The pictures aren't great, I know, but there's a hurricane bearing down on us, so the lighting isn't good...well, that and I have no clue how to take a decent picture.

I decided to replace my Sport Classic IIs with Carrera Lightweights. I found this set on ebay. They weren't in great shape, but some curb rash sanding and a trip to Chesapeake Powdercoat made them look better than new. While I was at it, I debadged the car and did a light tint. The last step will be the H&R coilovers that have been sitting in the garage forever. Every time I get ready to put them on and get corner balanced, something expensive breaks. Such is life with a 13 year old performance car. I wouldn't trade it for the world...

Much better and the de-badging too. How about a set of "Carrera 4" center caps?

I actually love my centers...even though the crests fly off indescriminately as the glue dries out - and they're $60+ each to replace.

Interesting. I have never lost one... And not from lack of 'trying.'

Glue? OEM do no not require glue. They snap in place.

The centers aren't glued on. The crests are glued onto the centers. The glue apparently gets dry and they fly off. First time it happened I thought someone stole it. Then one fell off right in my garage. I found it on the floor next to the car. I've lost four in all.

I have these. OEM with the smaller crest.
