Can anyone offer advice on the on-board computer on my 1999 C4(recent purchase)? Apparently the manual that came with the car is for a newer model so it has different instructions for my '99. The speed warning idiot light is on and I don't know how to turn it off. The computer is controlled by a stalk on the steering wheel and moves in 4 directions, forward/backward/up/down. Have tried multiple combinations but all have been fruitless, the damn thing is still lit..help! Thanks.

Is it a green light with a circle? If so, that is the cruise control. There is a button the right stalk that you push to activate/deactivate. There shouldn't be a light for the speed warning, only a gong.

Yup, if it is the green circle light then it is the cruise. I was baffled for a little while also. :-)
