Which hose is this?
This hose is leaking coolant. From what I can see, there are two of them, one on either side of the engine. The one that is leaking is the driver side. I'm looking for a part number if anyone knows it. This picture is not from my car, but it's an image of the hose that is leaking I found on the interwebs. Any help would be appreciated. More than likely the issue is the water pump, but it doesn't appear that any coolant is leaking down onto it, the issue appears that the hose itself is leaking, and it looks slightly bulged.
As always, thanks!

be careful - if the water pump is leaking it can look like its the hose - water pumps leak out of the center of the pulley
remove the belt and see if it wiggles

Thanks for the info, that's what I was thinking but wanted some confirmation. Ed, I agree it's more than likely the pump, but I figured for 30 bucks or so, I'd hope against hope and see if it was the hose. As well, the hose does look bulged, so replacing it probably isn't a bad idea anyway.

There are two versions of that hose coming out of the pump.
The new one requires a new hard pipe attached to it as well.
The old one (if you can still buy it) should be a direct replacement for whats on your MY 99 car.

No sorry I don't know when but I do know the superseded part (replacement for the orig) is different from the orig (which is NLA from Porsche).
It could be just very early 99 models with the old hose style, but all of the 99's I've seen have the old hose style.
It is possible your car already received the "updated hose and hard pipe" at some point during it's service history.
It's easy to see, the difference between the hard pipes. The new one has a nearly 180 degree hook/turn before it goes into the water pump hose. The old one just turns about 90 degrees (or less IIRC).

Won't know for sure until tomorrow, as shipping didn't go out when Suncoast thought it would, so instead of Friday, will get it on Monday.
Shark, did you replace your own pump, or have it done?

you can remove the belt from the pulley's and check for "wobble" in the WP in about 5 minutes - would save you waiting twice for the mailperson (PC for mailman)

No kidding! Just read the post, nothing like doing your IMS on your garage floor, fantastic! Ed, what am I looking for with the wobble? Any lateral movement at all, or more than a few mm's? How much if any movement and I looking for?
Thanks,
DS
