Your first 911 is always special. You'll be grinning ear-to-ear on Saturday and looking back every time you walk away after you park...

Hans and the RAC guys did the PPI today. Some minor issues. The only major issues are one inner tie rod bad (@$50) and cracked rubber in trans mount (@$75). Way cheaper than an auto mount!
Dealer actually wants to fix most of the issues. Hans said the car is not perfect but will be about an "8" or more after the fixes. The great news is the engine revs were all good and no codes. Engine, trans, drivetrain, all fine. Clutch is "a little notchy" but not slipping. He said it may need change in the future. He recommended I go forward with the deal. The bad news is, I dont think there is any way the car can be ready Saturday. So Im bummed with a deposit payed, cashiers check in my hot little hands, financing in place, and insurance ready, but cant pickup car yet. Waiting for word now. I do want to Say that Hans and the RAC guys are top notch. He treated me great and was patient with all my questions.

Congrats! Is Texas Imports having RAC do the work? just make sure it gets done correctly - I might suggest having the dealer knock the price down to compensate for the fixes and have them done yourself so you know it's done right.

Either way, looks like you're on your way to a great experience!

The banker in me says you may want to check out Pentagon Federal Credit Union, penfed.org (no affiliation). They'll finance it at 1.49%, regardless of age, so virtually half the rate of your current offer. They did mine, were easy to deal with, and you can't beat the rate.

Otherwise, sounds like a great car, hope you get to pick her up soon!
