I really like it, definitely better than a taco wing (but I've never been a fan of them anyway)! But, its all a personal preference (as long as you like it thats all that matters). jmo

Just as jdjones2010 say's, as long as you are happy with the way it looks all is good.

I'm not a fan of changing stuff to make it look different. I want a car to be as original as possible and especially the 911. This said, I actually better like the original wing on the 996 C2/4 but again, its all in the eye of the beholder.

Magnificent work you done btw. Can't see it is retro fitted at all

what's with the "keep it original" thing - he can pop back on the old one and be original in like 30 minutes --- change is good as long as you can "un-change"

do it work - (I hope)

Nice work. Is that an OEM Porsche part? I only ask because the "lip" on the rear decklid underneath the spoiler (where it normally says "turbo") looks off to me. On the actual turbo cars, the lip lines up with the line that seperates the red from the clear lenses in the tail lights. Yours sits lower, and it doesn't really look like there's even room to put a badge on the rear decklid. Maybe it's just the angle in the photos, but it doesn't look right to me. Also - note the difference in the location of the 3rd brake light...

Don't get me wrong, I think it looks great. That particular detail just strikes me as a bit odd. Here's a photo of a 996 turbo so you can see what I mean.

Wow, good eye Dennis. It certainly doesn't appear to be an oem part, but it looks great. Nicely done OP.

I thought C4/TT wings would not fit a narrow body? Does the wing come off the TT decklid and bolt to the narrowbody deck?

EDIT: Ok now saw the "How-to" steps in the blog. Awesome thanks.

it is oem parts... people 996 tt trunk does not fit 996 c2.. I made this oem trunk to fit my c2... took 1 day of work... trim to fit. tt trunk is 2 inches longer and 1/2 inch wider...
