Ideal Harry's Lap Timer mounting
Those of you that use HLT. What mount position do you find works the best (vert or horizontal)? I have a RAM windshield mount as recommended by Harry. I can't quite seem to get the proper angle. Driving me nuts.
Slopesider:
I guess the answer you seek, might have something to do with the mobile phone you are using. HLT is on my iphone 4 and I mount it horizontally, althought I have had considerable problems with my mounts. The first one fell apart on-track, but I went cheap with an amazon bought, crapo mount. There vibration issues, too. I just bought a Satechi(?) mount, much sturdier but not as much mobility so the only way to make this work will be horizontally. Thi set up should be better, although I am limited in mounting positions due to the design of the moutn and the angle of hte windshield. GL.

Thanks for the reply Country. I'm using an iPhone 4s. I have a RAM mount with a reticulating arm but can't seem to get good view. No matter how move it I seem to get too much dash and hood in the video.
I use this one:

Works great and boosts the GPS signal. Video is very good in horizontal mode.
