Any suggestions on a good indy mechanic/shop in the Charlotte area? Posted by a newbie!

Where in Charlotte are you and how far are you willing to drive? There are a couple of choices but not too many that I'm aware of within city limits except for Hendrick.

As Fernando points out, the favored ones are in Denver our out closer to Monroe. I haven't had mine long enough yet, but plan on taking to Eurowise off Woodlawn and Old Pineville. They have taken care of my VW and BMW's. There are usually a few exotics being worked on, and I know they have done at least several IMS jobs.

Exclusive Motorwerks in Denver. They work on all our Porsches (see signature).

I personally go to Hendrick because it's convenient to my office. Sure it's a dealer and can sometimes be more expensive but the service department is top notch and I've only had good experiences there.

I used to go to Eurowerks in Monroe but for me it ended up being quite a drive. They're pretty good too.

I'll consider Exclusive that Bob mentioned since my dog's vet is in Denver, NC but so far the dealer has been working out for me. It's my understanding you can't go wrong with any of these choices - it's just whatever is most convenient for you and whoever you get along with the most.
