Yup. Just getting into photography and trying out HDR. Still learning!

Shots were mostly with 10-24 lens with Nikon d5100

Brilliant shot! how did you get the stars in focus?

how long was the exposure? I think I did 1 minute and stars are always blurry

Wide flared hips accentuated with some shadow and an arching front fender...probably the best looking 911 ever!

hey buckey,
shot on a tripod, 30s exposure, f3.5, iso 3200 (if i recall).
try messing with the iso if you can, 1min might be too long?
i'm no pro so anyone else with with more photo experience could chime in.

Aspen I checked the exif data and you took this night time shot with a 30 sec exposure, F 4, ISO 1600, +2EV at 10mm focal length. The main trick to these long exposures is a sturdy tripod. You can also use a flashlight to illuminate something in the foreground (like your car or a tree) so it would be visible in the shot. You need these long exposures to get enough light in the lens so the stars and milky way can be seen. If you want to make star trails you would need a 10 min or longer exposure. The HDR shots which are the very colorful shots of his car and boats are done by using HDR software to blend to together 3 or more images. One image being underexposed, the next perfectly exposed and the last overexposed. This creates more dynamic range and you can also use the software to greatly increase the saturation giving the vibrant colors you see here.
