Default 3 month storage of P-car

I need to store my C4 Cab for 3 months.

Any advice on "how to"?

Put it on a tender or pull the battery?

I'd use a battery tender.

Fill the tank and pump up the tires too.

I'm going to do the same as my motorcycles... Change oil and filter (get all that acidic oil off the aluminum parts), fill and treat gas tank with Stabil fuel stablizer, fully inflate tires to max pressure, run AC to distro oil in system one last time (not a bike task), wash/wax/cover and connect battery tender as well.

Cheers

Great for winterization, huge overkill for 3mo parking imho.

3 months really isn't that long. I'd just fill up the gas tank, pump up the tires a bit, put it on a battery tender and, if you're afraid of critters, block up the tailpipes.

Long Term Storage on Jack Stands:

Pro- avoiding flat spots and spring wear?
Con- Exposes the full shock shafts to corrosion/pitting. Maybe spray some corrosion inhibitor on them if you agree with this.

Flat spots are only temporary. Put a few heat cycles into it and they will go back to round.

So do people lock their cars. I thought i read somewhere that locking or leaving unlocked, and not using for a week, will kill battery?

If you live in an area with high humidity I'd cap the air intake before the throttle body and the tail pipes too soon after running. This will keep humid air and condensation out of your combustion chamber. I'm taking a break from working on a motor to type this BTW.

Your call, but I see more motor related damage from sitting than running. My roadrace motorcycle sat for 3 months without being started, then on a preseason tear down I found rust pitting rings on the cylinder bore from where moisture had condensed and collected. It warranted a rebore, oversized pistons, rings, gaskets. Some time and just under $1K. Not this cheap on a P car. Oh and I live in the driest state in the union.

After 5 days of non-use, the receiver for the remote stops working to conserve battery power. However, I believe the interior motion detector remains on, so that would draw a bit of current which you wouldn't have if you didn't lock. In any case, if you're using a battery tender, that should not be a problem. Depending on who else has access to the car, locking is probably a good idea.

With all the preparation you are planning you should be fine. Have a friend stop by on a sunny day and take the car out for a 30 minute drive once a month or so.
