Painted Console - Love the Look
I was a bit bummed that my new-to-me 996 had the usual scratches on the console. Had my car in to have my rear bumper re-done (got tagged five days after i got the car!) and decided to have him paint the console, too. The car is Lapis Blue so I had him match that and do black around the Tiptronic shifter. Turned out great.
Since I cannot seem to upload the photo from my iPad so I'll post that later.
New stereo, painted bumper & console and planning on Aferhours Gen2 and Will Rack for my bicycle. Then I have to cool it for awhile!

And I should have mentioned that the work was performed by Gary Kawakami at Ultimate Coachworks (Culver City, CA). He primarily does Ferrari work but occasionally works on cars that are actually driven.

Looks great. I've seen consoles painted in a color that deviates from the exterior and don't like it, but I love when the console is painted to match the exterior. Looks like a nice job.

Looks great, my car had an arctic silver centre console that was chipped and scratched, I reprinted it with rattle cans and was amazed how well it came up. Time will tell I suppose.

Looks nice!
There's no limit to what can be done. Here's a pic of a Turbo my brother owned. Everything you see is a factory Exclusive Option and very expensive at that. Looks a bit garish in the pics but it's actually quite nice
when driving the car. It makes everything a bit more contrasting and interesting. Not for the timid.
