Reason: thanks too all, for helping me with the Locking car Issue.
Hi
When you say beep do you mean the horn?
On mine which is a cab the horn will sound when locking the car if the following is true:
The boot is open
The front boot is open
A door is open
The centre storage is open
Most likely, something is open. It could be the rear center console lid, or the trunk, or the engine lid.
... or a window not fully up. If you chose to leave a window down a crack for "ventilation" then you are gonna get beeped when you press the remote to lock the car.

With the top up and everything closed on mine, if you click the button two times, it beeps once as the car locks up. If you only click one time it does not beep but I think that the inside alarm is not set with one click of the button (but not sure). Every time I click the button two times, the horn beeps once. So you might try clicking the key button two times and see can you show your husband that the car did in fact beep to you to let you know that it is locked fully. If you click only one time and the horn beeps then I believe that something is not closed properly but the car will still lock the doors. (I think). Hope that proves to your hubby that you are not loosing your mind. haha

Beep = system not fully engaged. Double click + beep = no inside motion sensor set.

I don't believe this is correct...from the manual:
A short signal from the alarm horn for...
Door, luggage compartment lid, engine compartment lid, storage tray, glove compartment
Original radio or aftermarket? Aftermartket radios sometimes don't have the wire connected to the mount chassis which causes the single beep when locked.
