996 suspension vs. spacers
my car has the PSS9/10,, recently i installed spacers (7mm/15mm) and the car feels a bit softer than before,,
how is that possible?
any alignments needed?

Very possible. In fact, the Laws of Physics say it is expected.
The force the suspension springs must counteract is directly proportional to the distance between the shock mounting point on the lower control arms, and the centerline of the tire. By adding spacers you've increased this distance/force without proportionally increasing the springs' stiffness. A "softer" feel is the result.
If it were my car I would have the alignment checked just to be sure it's in spec--it ought not to have changed as a result of the spacers, but I'd rather know than prematurely wear out a $1500 set of tires. Note, alignment will do nothing to address the "softer" feel--only replacing the springs on your shocks can do that.
Good Luck.
