I've done my hood in carbon wrap, and I think you are correct, it does look like a Honda Civic

It is all a matter of personal preference

It's your car so you do as you want with it. You should never do something to please other people. People pleasers are what we call brown noses. If it pleases you, then you do it and don't worry what people think or even say. I think matt black looks awful and cheap looking on any vehicle. Like the only thing that guy could afford was a few spray cans of paint. But don't let that statement put you off. If you want the car to look like its owned by some bad *** dude punk then do it.

What got me thinking about it was the GT2 with the black CF hood and the fact that I got the matte black rims. I get a lot of compliments on the look with the new rims as they contrast nicely against the silver vs. the OEM rims which where a chrome. Gives the car a meaner look.

I wanted to add the turbo chin spoiler and black out the air intakes when I add the 3rd radiator kit and I just figured the matte hood might work. Still just thinking about it but thanks for the input guys.

I think the challenge is that Silver pcars tend to blend into the background sometimes...unlike Guards Red or Speed Yellow. There are way too many Silver pcars. I think the black wheels should make your car stand out more, if that is what you are after. Also, you have a 40th Ann..I think you should keep it as stock as possible. Just my opinion.

If I was half my age or less I might do it. I've been driving legaly for 47 years modding cars at least that long and motorcycles longer. Sorry, black hoods don't do it for me. I do like the wheels though.

It will look awful IMO, one thing you could do is wrap it with the transparent matte film:

^^ Nice alternative right there ^^ the matte black Innsbrucks and Turbo front lip/ black intakes should compliment the total package.

Looks like it needs a good wash and wax. I know. I'm showing my age.

I wouldn't, but that's me. Like other's have said, do whatever floats your boat. If you don't like it, it's easy enough to reverse.

With any stylistic question like this, you'll always get both sides responding.

Just wrap it and post some pics. You can always tear it off if you hate it.
