Clutch Booster Spring
Hi All,
I just got a 2000 996 and the clutch feels heavy/stiff (compared to the 2002 Boxster that I just sold). The clutch and flywheel have been replaced in the last 1500 miles so I thought I'd check the clutch booster spring to make sure that it's not broken. I removed the clutch booster spring assembly and inspected it (the spring was still in one piece). After inspecting, I reinstalled the clutch booster spring assembly. Now when I drive it, the clutch feels heavier/stiffer than before. Any ideas?
Thanks-
Rob P.
***solved***
For anyone who's interested, I solved my issue. The reason that my clutch was worse after reinstalling the clutch booster spring assembly was that I forgot to remove the nail that was holding the spring in place (d'oh). After removing the nail from the spring assembly, all is back to normal.
