Default electrical probs

hi all my son has a 996 c4 1998 year, been having electrical probs,
when switching on and starting if the abs and mamagment light stays on, the thottle peddle stops working, will start, but if you switch on and off a few times the lights go out and peddle starts to work,
any one got a idea where to start to look? no jobs been done on car, mechanical or electrical

Possibly Ign switch. They have a poor reputation and when they start to go they cause strange elec problems.
Do a search. Pretty easy to change ~$12-14 at NAPA even cheaper on EBay. 4A 0905849B. Used on some Audi & VW. Porsche does not offer the switch by itself any more. Only the whole lock assy.
