Still waiting . I hope this very positive thread is not holding up my order. Maybe Darin is on a well deserved summer vacation.

Thanks Dennis, I wonder why Porsche didnt do the Fister version is it sounds better than the PSE sound?

My guess would be that the Fister bypass completely bypasses the muffler which can be illegal in some places etc. there is a reason that cars come with mufflers from the factory and not strait pipes. with the PSE style the exhaust still enters the muffler, just doesnt follow all the way through the muffler, similar to how sport exhausts work on other exotic cars. The PSE hack is a little more quiet and reserved sounding versus the Fister mod. I say combine the two for the best sound (PSE hack not worth it if only 996.1 3.4L cans)

I'm planning to keep the Fister mufflers and try sport cats with them for my next exhaust mod. I think that will be perfect.

Yeah....I was afraid that might happen! I hope Darrin goes by the date the order was placed. He sent me an email a few days later saying they were backed up a bit. From this thread it certainly sounds like the Mod is worth waiting for.

I just pulled the mufflers off my car and sent them to Darin. 1 to 1.5 week turnaround without ceramic coating.

That seemed like the quickest and easiest way to do it to me.

I am interested in the mod too. Darin said that because of the popularity, there is a waitlist, consequently a delay in completing the order.. but the end-product rocks!

I have the fister 2's on my 993 and the sound is awesome. That said, another option to sending the mufflers and bieng w/o a car is to ask Darin if he has any cores and can just send them to you and then you send yours. I have done this with 2 997 sets so far. Just a thought.

Exactly what I am doing. They arrive tomorrow. I will get them installed next week, pack the old cores into the same box and ship them back to Darin. Would not want to be without my car for that long.

Hey guys, great thread BTW!
We custom make each set for each individual order. We get the orders out as fast as we can. Part of the delays are the amount of orders we get.... and the amount of time it takes to do the core exchange. Some cores are not returned for over a month I want to thank everyone for their patience, as we will get your order filled as quick as we possibly can. Hopefully you will find it worth-the-wait.
