Default Noticed oil filler tube is cracked almost in half.

Was cleaning my air filter tonight and noticed it was almost split in half. For now I have some duct tape on it so hopefully I do not throw a code. Noticing the plastic and ribs on it caused it to split over the years...is there anyone who make a better replacement one than OEM? Also, garage is dark right now, to replace it, how is it connected to the engine and best way to replace it? I assume it has a clamp somewhere down there. Like I said, dark tonight so not messing with it.

just doesn't make sense to me. Show a photo of the split...and then maybe we could come up with some ideas.

It is about an inch below the oil cap. Right now I have duct tape on it for a temp fix.

an inch below the OIL CAP... two words. APOXY RESIN. Or go to all the trouble of removing the Generator which i believe is a PITA and putting a new oil filler tube on. If the split is only an inch from the filler cap, then you could simply fill in the crack with apoxy resin both from inside and outside of the tube. Note to self.... "keep talking to ones self"

Looks tough to get at from the engine bay. Is is held on by anything else besides the 2 bolts? Pelican has a decent price on the oil filler tube. Right now with duct tape I have not thrown any codes.

Just the two screws and an "O" ring. Read the thread in post #5 to see DIY explanations
