Default 2002 Torque Converter removal?

Hi,
I'm doing some work my 2002 996 C2 with Tiptronic auto trans. I have a repair manual from a '99 which has been close enough so far, but I've reached an impass. I was able to get the conjoined engine and tranny out, separate the engine from the transmission, and remove the extra coupler between the engine and tranny. What I can't figure out is how to remove the torque converter from the engine shaft?

Can anyone provide some guidance or post the correct repair manual instructions/diagrams to help me get the torque converter removed?

Thanks,
-Kurt

Pull the starter and unbolt the torque converter from that hole. You gave to turn the engine to get to each of them.

Thank you for the tip - I had read this elsewhere and expected to find a hole under the starter, but it was your comment that helped me realize it was through the hole created by removing the starter!

I was able to get the torque converter removed from the flywheel.

Thank you so much!
