Hey guys,

Looking for a recommended shop in and around Scottsdale AZ. I was thinking Evolution Motorsports, however I called Robert from Evoms and left him 2 messages. One last week and, one this week. I also called a bunch of times not leaving a message. If its that hard to get a hold of him, I don't think I would have them do a PPI, since he is impossible to reach. However, I have heard good things.

Any other places?

I used Beck's European in Scottsdale and had a really good experience there. Everyone I spoke with there was really helpful and they were very responsive.

I used Beck's for my PPI and bought the car sight unseen, so I was relying on them a lot. They were very thorough, but once I actually received the car, there were a few cosmetic things that I felt they missed (nothing major, but missed nonetheless) but so far the car has performed flawlessly, which was obviously my major concern.

I spoke with Beck's. I called and spoke with a girl, and i think i fell in love with her over the phone. She spoke Porsche like it was no ones business. I thought she was going to transfer my cal over to a service adviser. No, no, she new it all. I am very impressed with Beck's so far over the phone. She kindly explained everything to me and answered all my questions. There was nothing she did not know. Thumbs up to miss Porsche!

An alternative is DJ at Don Jackson's Porsche. Located in Phoenix and very knowledgeable. Good luck with the purchase!

Update is, Becks will be seeing the car either Monday or Tuesday for a full PPI. It is a little expensive but from what I am gathering they really go through the whole car and will be sending me pictures, all the records and so on. Crossing my fingers.

I'm calling Becks tomorrow for pricing information. I'm also out of state and need to have a PPI be my eyes.

What should I expect a PPI to cost?

sorry late to this thread. Been searching. So i'm looking at a 997.1 Turbo in AZ. I scheduled a PPI with Becks. I heard they do mostly older cars. I'm out on the NorthEast so I really don't know where is best.

Should I be looking into a shop that specializes in newer Porsches?

I like Scott McIlvain from McIlvain Motors. He's off University and 48th street near the airport. He did my clutch, AOS, RMS and LN bearing for $4500 less than I was quoted elsewhere in Scottsdale.
I find him very knowledgable and uber-friendly.
