Default WTB for a friend: 996 coupe

Hi all,
First let me say I'm KINDA a 996 owner - have a 6 GT3. I used to own a used Porsche business (Exclusive Motors) so a buddy of mine asked me to help him find a nice 996 - good cosmetics, good mechanicals - not a concours/garage queen, but not a beater either. Early years most likely because of his budget (+/- $20k). i know they're out there, but I don't know the market much anymore.

Anyone know of something or have something they're looking to sell?

TIA!

Shouldn't be a problem. Have him search Auto Trader, Cars.com, Ebay, craigslist. When he finds some cars he likes give him your advice. It's often hard to find exactly what you want local no matter where you live.

Try the rennlist classifieds. Usually the ones for sale on here have better service records, better prices (than dealer), and even some tasteful mods from time to time. You can try dealers on autotrader/ebay motors but they're usually trying to charge full retail, which is BS......

Lol... I know, but there are sooo many differences between the gt3 and carreras that they seem worlds apart. Sometimes that's a bit of a pain because so many things are gt3 specific so they are either hard to find, or really expensive.

And one time I posted and said something about being a 996 owner and was told "not really, you own a gt3"...

Point is, they are different. They have different issues, different quirks, different pros and cons, but they are all Porsche.
