Default Using different brake pad compounds F/R

I'm thinking of following the advice in this thread and installing Hawk DTC70s in the rears and DTC60s in the fronts for use (only) on the track. The idea is to put the more aggressive (initially) pad in the rear in order to dial out a bit of the factory-set strong front braking bias.

Does anyone think this is a really bad idea?

Im going to use the Pagid yellow/black combo at Sebring and see if I notice a difference. I doubt I will but no reason to think it is a "bad" idea. Ive only used yellows so far.

Yellow/Back is quite popular now - adds more rear bias for those who run Rs and track alignment - imnproved trail braking.

In stock and ready.

Craig, will this combination also work with street tires and a stock alignment?

Yeah, but the best benefits come from R comps and F&R and track alignment - BUT if you feel that you could use more rear bias - certainly go for it - !

Thanks guys. I'll give it a shot and see how this set up works on my car.
