When I lock the car the alarm "indicator" on dash flash 21 times, together with the red lockerswitch-light on dash. After this 21 flashes everything goes back to normal. No beep from the horn.

Problem started 1 week ago. A few days after I changed my headunit to a aftermarket unit. I tried to put my old headunit back in but the problem remains.

I have checked the doors, consolse etc everything seems to be closed and I dont get the beep sound from the horn.

Any ideas what the problem can be? What dose this flashes indicat?

Car is a 996 C4 -2000 with PCM(nav, phone, ++), now removed.

I bet the radio alarm wire is lose. I think you either have to ground it or keep it from being grounded.

Mine flashes 18 times. No beep. Normal!

Tried to ground, but then I get the beep aswell..

Fault code 21 - W lead (DME - immobiliser), open circuit
Possible cause of fault
- Short circuit to ground/open circuit in the communication lead between the alarm system control module and the DME control module
