Default Need Touch Up Paint in Aerosol (Guards Red)

Local Dealer says Porsche does not make touch up paint in aerosol only in a brush on. Need a recommendation on a good source online or retail. Thanks.

You might try these guys also. I had good luck with them on spray touch up for my Porsche, Benz and GMC truck. Good luck.

I know this will sound crazy, but basic Testors red model paint is about an exact match. Any hobby store will have it.

+1 to paintscratch. If you send a sample even better.

I was about to order from these guys for my new to me 996 gt3. Was it a perfect match? Did you get the clear coat too? I need to paint right behind the front wheels on the side skirts. All the paint as been sandblasted away. No issue from the side but I know it needs work.

I've used them 4 different times now. Their can spray nozzle is good. Clearcoat seems great and has held up over 3 years so far. Basecoat is generally very good unless you have a very metallic paint you are trying to match exactly. Then you might or might not notice the exact mixture of metallic content compared to your factory paint.

I've tried Paintscratch and Tower as well. Paintscratch is pretty much on pare with Automotivetouchup and I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Thanks for the follow up. I've got a seal gray car but given the location by the ground and behind the tire as long as its their best effort on the color it should be fine.

I got the paint, some primer, some adhesion promoter, clear coat and a couple of small bottles of touch up paint from them. I did my bumperettes on the Carrera and the match was very close (considering the car is now 13 years old). I also painted a trailer hitch cover panel on the 07 Yukon XL and it was a perfect match. The paint for the Benz was to touch up a small rust spot on the trunk lid. Again, an older vehicle (1997) and the match was too close to cause any issues. I was pleased with everything I got from these guys.

Also try your local automotive paint store. My local store can provide any color in an aerosal as long as you have a paint code and $30.

I've heard this about Testors red but is there a specific color "name" or is it just Testors "red"? I have some out of the way places I'd like to touch up on my '88 and don't need to go through ordering from paintscratch.
TIA
