Victor Innsbruck lighter than Carrera wheels - proof!

So I just got my new Innsbruck wheels and as I am tight I prayed all the lugs rather than shell out $150 for new. Whilst off I weighed the wheels against my standard wheels with worn out tires. The 8X18 fronts with exactly the same tires were 1 lb lighter, and the rears which I went for a 10.5x18 & 285 tire vs the standard 10x18 with a 285 was a 3.5lbs heavier.

I'm not sure they compliment the running boards as well though! JK

I just got those same rims on my black car. Man, they look slick. I replaced the same rims you had. Don't know what color you have but I think you will be happy with the look. Mine is a daily driver so not so much concerned about weight. Was concerned about durability...
You'll want to save your change and get black lug nuts though because I'm sure they'll get nicked up with the first tire change.
Congrats on the new rims and thanks for the weight information.

Eh, 5lbs won't make a difference.
They look nice!
If the lugs get nicked a bit putting them on just get one of those tiny little jars of model paint at the hobby store and touch them up. However, if you take your wheels off a lot you'll probably be better off getting black lugs when you "loosen" up the purse strings.

Question here. I've got 10.5s with 285s on the back. Should I go up to a 295? I'm not stretching the sidewalls that much, am I?
Do you have a good PIC of the back of yours?
Thanks in advance,
JKC

Hell, I have the same black innsbruck wheels (that i bought last year for a sick price) and I have the 11 inch wide rears with 295s. I tend to think that is too much tire and I may go with 285s on the 11 inch when these are worn out.
a 295/30/18 Hankook Evo 12 tire weighs 30lbs by itself!
***Update*** Looks like I am stuck with the 295 because the 285 can only handle rims as wide as 10.5. Your setup is still fine.
