255/40-19. the rears circ is 26.0". the OEM fronts are 26.3" & i want to step it up to 26.6". total circ delta is 0.6". relative to the rear, this is 2.3%.

If you do a 245/40 in the front with the 255/40 in the rear it will bring the delta down to 1.2%.

i'd considered that, but then i'm back to limited tire choices. there are only a few at 245/40 or 235/45; there are DOZENS at 245/45.

The problem with going with a 45 series sidewall is your front tires will be taller than your rears and it will dorky. What about just running 255/40s all around?

now there's a thought.....

the wheel widths are staggered, but only by 1/2". they're 9's in back & 8.5's up front. a 245/40 should JUST fit on an 8.5. i may go this route; thx for the input.

In your opinion would you go with the 235/35/19 up front or a 245/35/19 up front, provided im going to run the 305/30/19 rear .. Difference is i have a set of 235/35/19 sitting around collecting dust that i would like to use up...

If your car is RWD, either option is fine. If your car is AWD, the 245/35s would be the best choice.
