Default Schnell CAI help

I've searched the forum, as well as the web, but am finding little help in installing this system. Just picked it up from a fellow rennlister with some VERY basic instructions at best! My question lies with the two plugs. Is the red cap installed from inside of the air box, or do both plugs go in from the top? I also know of people altering things a bit from what Schnell intended. Any help/thoughts/links to this info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I have the same CAI, the best thing to do is to ignore the rubber caps. Take off the upper part of the air box, and completely unscrew the little box on the inside of the upper half of the air box. The reason for this is so you will have a larger volume inside the air box itself (and you will not need that little box on the inside since you will be bypassing it).

Next, get an 1 1/2" cap from an electric box from Home Depot>>> costs less than a buck and it fits perfect. Then, put some silicone caulking around it so it is an air tight seal.

Much better solution than putting in that rubber cap upside down (so it can fall inside and get stuck) inside the opening of that little box.

Don't throw away any parts of the factory unit just in case you want to revert back to original.
