Default PPI recommendation near Oyster Bay NY

OK, perhaps I have my first lead on a car...2000 C2 Coupe with under 75k miles. Owner doesn't seem to have a lot in the way of records but swears the car is bone dry and mechanically perfect. Who knows, but that's what PPI's are for.

3 questions:

1. Any recommendations for a good shop nearby for a PPI?
I did a search and got a few good words for Porsche Spoken Here in West Babylon. But they seem to focus on 924/944/968 cars.

2. Is anyone local who might want to give it a look for me first?
I would be very grateful and happily buy them a beer when I come to pick it up.

3. If the PPI comes out clean, what's a fair price for 2000 C2 Coupe with 75k miles?
Car has litronics and 18" wheels - don't know much else about options. It's lapis blue over blue leather.

Fronesis, I can't speak to the first 2, but as far as the 3rd -- I'm looking at a '99 996 right now that has about 78k miles on it, 6spd, and 18" wheels, and the seller wants $18,300. Same color as the one you are looking at, but light gray not blue leather. It's a private seller, so no dealer costs. I'm getting the PPI done Monday morning. So, all things being equal, what is Litronics worth (to you)? Personally, I don't think I'd pay more than a few hundred more for a car that had it vs. one that didn't, but that's just me.

No, Litronics aren't really worth much at all to me. It's nice to have, but it also is more expensive if something goes wrong.

Is $18,300 his asking price or is that your agreed on sales price subject to PPI?

Thanks for the reply!

Thanks, Bill. I didn't find Rudtners when I initially searched the forum, but it looks like they come highly recommended by everyone. I'll give them a call on Monday.

18.3k is asking price, and assuming the PPI comes back OK, I expect I'll pay pretty close to that, it seems to be a fair price from all of the other ones I've looked at.

+1 on Rudtners. I use him all the time. Or Porsche of Roslyn, they're a bit closer.

I can swing by and give it a glance to see if anything is glaringly obvious if you send me a PM.
