Default Expansion Tanks Interchangeable?

Expansion Tanks: can the newer one be retrofitted into a 1999-2000?

Don't believe you can interchange between models. I paid $205 for mine 2 years ago at Suncoast.

Frank,

I posed this question to my indy when I had mine done and was told that they are not interchangeable... and the part was north of $400 up here.

They are different sizes. You might be able to fit old to new but not new to old.

I asked for a friend with a leaky 1999 tank. He thought we might be able to do it but in the end probably not worth the blood, sweat and aggravation.
I told him I would ask the collective.
