Default Dayton Ohio mechanics?

Bought a 996 and have some questions (will post pictures after it gets here - not delivered yet). I am in the Dayton OH area and wonder who the best independent shop might be?

1. there are several local garages that claim to specialize in Porsches (Foreign Exchange, the Garaj, P3, etc.) but most seem to work on other German cars also - has anyone had any experience with a Dayton shop that they would be willing to share?

2. The car needs tires - currently has Pirelli P Zeros - are these good tires? Is there something better I should be looking at?

3. In the past for my other cars I have bought tires from Tire Rack - is there any place in the Dayton area that might be a better choice?

Thanks,

TedFromOhio

Hi Ted. From what I understand, the Garaj and P3 would be well worth considering but I take mine to Euro Classics. FWIW, the Garaj and Euro Classics takes care of two of the largest, nicest collections in the Dayton area (usually well represented at the Dayton Concourse).

Also, I ordered from the Tire Rack but the last recommended installer I had them sent to treated my freshly refinished wheels pretty poorly. I will probably have them sent to my house and hand select my installer next time.

Give Ed Pimm at EPR a call. He's in plain city just west of columbus. He took care of all my 996 needs while I lived in OH. Great guy and great service.
BTW he doesn't do tires/alignment but Bill at Performance alignment in cincy is one of the best in the area for that.
