I guess you never have to clean your wheels.

My plan was to test out the look by plasti-dipping, and then get them powdercoated. But they have held up surprisingly well and I really like the look. I honestly don't know if I can justify the cost and hassle of powdercoating when plasti-dip costs $5 a can. And, I can always pull it off if I get sick of the look or want to sell the wheels/car.

Yeah that makes sense. Have you sprayed any wheel cleaner to wipe them down and any issues with any of it coming off or bubbling from the heat from the brakes?

I sprayed 3 to 4 coats about a month ago and it has held up strong with no chipping or bubbling. I wash the wheels by hand with car soap - no problems. There's a vid on youtube of the DipYourCar guy powerwashing his plasti-dipped wheels to no ill-effect.

Check this out for the durability on a track'd car:

Offsets

Front 45
Rear 55

The rears are scary close to the fenders, but had no problem after some severe testing on the track. It actually increases the stance without using spacers..

Rules (Rennlist is big on rules):

1. Forget PIMP MY RIDE: just say "No" to spinners and 22's
2. Chrome is for '57 Chevies
3. Form follows function: It's a Porsche, G'd d'mn it!
4. It better be lighter than stock or why did you do it?
5. Rubbin' is for racing, and not for the inside of your wheel well
6. Yellow brakes rule; red is in the club; and if they're black, don't show 'em
