I like them both.
On a 997 the lights look like they belong there and it helps add to the attractive design of the car.
But on a 996, especially a Turbo or C4S, it looks perfect and would probably not have the same muscular look with the round lights.
Who says you can only like one or the other? They're both water-cooled 911s. Both unique and easily recognized by people everywhere.
