Hi guys just curious what factory options you have retrofitted to you 996?

I just bought a removable hardtop (car had the DELETE option). Not FACTORY options by previous owner(s): Techart aero kit, 19-in rims, clear bra, Clarion nav, hardwired radar detector, aluminum pedals.

X73 suspension and 997SSK. Great upgrades that really make a difference in the performance and driveability of the car.

I did replace my OEM suspension with a used US M030 suspension by Porsche, and am very pleased with the improvement, but would opt for the ROW M030 if I were to change again. Changed out the standard 4 spoke steering wheel with a 3 spoke.

M030 on for 12 months then replaced with Intrax 1K2 suspension,
Aerokit
997 SSK

Got rid of / getting rid of a few options too

Factory: Aerokit, Replaced standard 3 spoke with the Thicker GT-3 leather steering wheel, Painted console, clear side markers. some full leather trim on the interior, Sport Design wheels, GT-3 Cup Splitter

Car came with a good amount of other, Crests in seats, Alumalook Instrument surround, Key surround, Full Power seats, Heated seats, Crested color Center caps, BiXenons... blah..blah..etc..etc

Some non Factory: Double din Navigation- Pioneer Avic, Satellite radio, Bluetooth,iPod, Short Shift, Leather console lid cover with Porsche Crest, FisterD's, Fabspeed quad tips, IMSR, 997 Airbox, Fabspeed intake, Recaro child seat.. thats all I can remember

ashtray delete
dual cubbys (i.e. cd holder delete)

A lot seem to go for the SSK, is the stock throw that long to be annoying?

clear side markers would be just about it but after seeing the air box thread with the 997 box I may have to try to find a used one somewhere
