here's one for you 996 guys....
my buddy bought an early track prepped car and I have befriended a group of enthusiasts as a result. I have been coaching driving on the weekend and one other fella has an Aero which he asked me to test out
turns out I like the 996 quite a bit but found myself in speeding a couple times. We are a good group and obey the laws when training - but the car was just so easy to GO!! In the end I am still very happy with my 3.2 although I have not seen it in 2 weeks because I have it stored while playing with these other cars.
anyhow we learned the car (996) needs some alignment/tire adjustments and maybe suspension/braking - the car was very unsettled at speed and braking is erratic with diving in random directions - good to get fixed BEFORE our next track day.....
here's a pic I took last weekend showing the black track toy and the Aero side by side...I was driving a cream puff 86' all stock - very sweet ride!

Hey Ed, aren't your 996 friends afraid that spirited driving might cause their water cooled Porsche to detonate, especially when playing with the older air cooled crowd?

I-90 heading east just as we approach I-405 at factoria
first bridge above is the old train tracks, the second one in the far view is I-405
I was in Bremerton Saturday - what a great day! My neice took the drivers skills course and my boys volunteered to **** cones. all in all I brought 8 people to the event. If it wasnt sold out I had 2 others wanting to get in...next one is already sold out so if you want to get in sign up early!
ALL skills events are open to register for the whole year. Plan ahead...see you there!

I have to say I'm partial to that yellow aero.
My folks live in Gig Harbor, maybe I'll have to plan my next visiting trip up there for a track day and drive up there instead of fly.
