Bad CAT with CEL today :(

Gotta love those P-dealer prices.
Each Cat (OEM brand new) can be had for $1230 each. That's $2460. $2000 in labor?

Guys, got a CEL this morning and bank 1 cat is bad my local Indy confirmed it so my options seem to be:
1. Fix under warranty as car infleet date is May 15th, 2004
2. 200 cell cats all around
3. Cat bypass (Thank you Florida = no emmisions)
What should I do? I have FisterD's on there now.
Car is 40th AE with x51 engine.
Leaning toward bypass but few questions:
How loud is it with FisterD's & cat bypass?
Do you have to do anything to avoid CEL's?
What bypass pipe is best?
Does it really smell that bad?
