Just lost the driver's side headlight. I am assuming bulb at this point. I did a search and found a couple of older posts on sources and cost. Seemed like the dealer's price was $400+, but there were other options (eBay, etc.), but no definitive answers. Anyone have recent experience?

I bought two brand new OEM bulbs from Pelican Parts earlier this year. I think it was around $150 bor both bulbs. Make sure to replace both at the same time as HID lights change in color and light output over their effecive life.

Talked to my shop today. They charge just under $100 per bulb. I try to support them whenever possible. Independents are really struggling in this economy.
Thanks for the feedback!

Job is done. Fairly easy install following instructions in the owners manual and headlight removal tool from the tool kit. Make sure you follow the Litronic bulb removal instructions, not the first explanation which covers the normal headlight bulb and is slightly different.
The Sylvania/Osram (D2S) bulb was $95 from my shop. The same bulb was available from Amazon for $45. The old bulb was a Phillips, but the two headlights look identical after the new was installed.

The "yellow cast" is probably the secondary or additional halogen high-beam bulb below the HID. I replaced the factory H11 (55 watt) bulbs with 6000K "bright white" bluish H9 (65 watt) bulbs. Requires 30 seconds of dremel surgery to remove a small plastic piece from the base of the bulb. Noticeably brighter and more pleasing color.
