Thanks for posting this thread. It is nice to see Porsches driven ALL SEASON! I was raised on the east coast (CT) and spent winters skiing in Vermont. All I can say about New Hampshire skiing is that it is damn cold! I definitely miss New England. The scenery is unmatched year round.

May I ask what is your "winter" tire/wheel set up?

17" OEM twists with 4 Blizzaks. My wife and I moved to southern Maine in 1976, and she's also from Conn. You happen to own my 'next' Porsche...the GT3 in white.

That's a nice set-up. Blizzaks are awesome. I run dedicated winter "18s" on my 997, so was unable to run Blizzaks. I ended up with Contis which are okay...

You will really like the GT3 - I bought it as a weekend car, and then discovered the track... Now it is a dedicated track car! The search was a lot of fun as well...

I run 18s for my dedicated winter wheels 18x8 fronts and 18x10 rears), and I use Blizzaks. I had no problem finding them in OEM recommended sizes. Perhaps the sizes are different for the 997...
