26. When your wife asks you to run an errand to the grocery store, mall, shoe store, restaurant, church, city hall, Costco, Walmart, etc., etc., you're on it and out the door!

28. You know every item of technical trivia about your 996, maybe even some part numbers--yet you can't remember your family's birthdays or wife's wedding anniversary.
Great thread!

thats a real shame
On the flipside - for the years that I waited for the someday I'll own another to arrive and while waiting I had three kids. I also had a picture of my white 1968 911 on display. One day two of my kids said "Gee dad, I bet you loved that car and you must really miss it" my honest answer was "yes, I loved that car and I sure do miss it, but you guys are my Porsche now". And then someday came, and then another day came, and now the kids get to pick which one we will drive. All good in the end.

Glad I live in the South. Beautiful morning, so I went for a spirited drive with the top down. Came home and pampered it a bit with a wash, detailed the interior, cleaned and treated the leather, water proofed the top, hit the paint with a clay bar, and finished it off with a good coat of wax.
Sure looks perty and ready for next weekend.

- you spend more time cleaning rather than driving it
- you assess the parking situation at every destination where you need to park your Porsche. If things don't look that great (such as supermarket), use the bimmer.

I have an explanation for the middle-age thing. I was waiting for the boys to get out of the house, and to be sure I could afford it with no compromises.
"If youth but knew. If age but could." LOL!
