Default First Porsche, soooo stoked! 996 Lighting question

I just scored a 2003 996 C4S with only 17,800 miles! Seal Grey, Black int, Tip (I wanted a 6speed, but the mileage spoke volume). Please help

How do I tell if this P-car has Litronic Xenon/HID lights???

Thanks for looking, I will write a formal intro and post some pics soon...

4S is a loaded car. I expect every 4S has standard litronics.

these are Litronic, Bi Xenon, HID headlights. They emit a very white light that may have a bluish or purple fringe when looked at from a distance. They are easily identified when looking at them by the tennis ball sized fish eye projector lens that the Halogen lamps do no have. When you turn the HID lights on they dip and rise to a self leveling height, Halogens do not do this.
If your lights look like the ones in the pic, you have HID.

Check inside hood lid for option code "P74."

I bet it has it.

Only Bi-xenon lights have headlight washer (sliver disks on lights) on MKII 996's. While the C4S was loaded with std equipment. xenons were still an option.

I think all the 2002 models had Litronics, but they made it optional in 2003 and beyond.

I know it's semantics but I thought they dropped the Litronic name and went Bi-xenon in 2002.... when they went to the ..uh.. Bi Xenon

Similar Question here. I have a 2002 C4S that has the washer fluid nozzle on the headlights. Does this mean they are bi xenon/litronic? I'll check for the code when I go back out to the car but just curious.

Don't have anything to add about your headlights, but nice going on your new Porsche luckyc4s.

Wow guys, this is quite a powerful forum for information. In 13 hours of my first post ever I recieved 13 responses, WOW you guys are so awesome. To my dismay, I don't have the good lights there is no washer caps or code 74 on the options sticker. Thinking of ordering a retrofit....
