Default Hardtop Wall Mount System

Does anyone happen to have the instructions to hang the Techquipment Hardtop Wall Mount? I bought one on ebay, but didn't receive instructions. I don't want my hardtop to end up on the floor. That would be bad...

I had the same problem....the wall mount is like a Chinese puzzle. I had the car about 3 months before I found the owners manual and other documents under my seat.

Basically, the long horizontal bar is on top, with the forks pointing up and the ends bending away from the wall. The short piece is on the bottom with ends bending away from the wall.

You are the best. I looked at that thing for like an hour last night. Thought I had it figured out, but it would be an expensive mistake if I was wrong.

Thank you very much!

Glad to help. Originally I didn't know I had the instructions under my seat and I just couldn't figure out how it was supposed to go together and what it should look like. A forum member on another site went out of his way to help me, so I'm happy to pay it forward.

If you're putting it up in your garage, build a barricade around it so you don't accidentally scratch your roof while moving an 8 foot yellow step ladder. Ask me how I know.

If you don't have a fancy Porsche cover for it, throw an old sheet over it to keep out the dust.

I bought a second hand wall mount, it didn't (somewhat annoyingly) come with the "Intermediate pieces" mentioned in 4.1.2 in the Porsche instructions - are they vital, or can they be either replaced with something else, or simply left out?

It weighs about 70 lbs. There are a few DIY versions online. Some suspend it from the ceiling on a pulley systems to make it easy to install and remove.

Here is one example:
