Default 2000 996 C4 Suspension

I was told by my mechanic that my rear shocks are kapoot I have begun to shop and found that the Bilsteins are around $231 each (PP). I went to Ebay and found all four NewYellow DPS for a little under $1100. Does any one have ideas or suggestions on finding some good shocks and struts Is anyone familiar with the Yellow DPS brand?? Any and all responses are appreciated.

Thanks, I'm guessing that no one is familiar with these Yellow DPS system If not, I'll probably to with the Bilsteins.

I am considering going with the Bilstein rebuild program to keep costs down. http://www.bilsteinus.com/products/s...e/service.html
At $65 and $75 each, plus shipping, it seems like an economical way to go. I am on a strict budget, so just $325 or so seems reasonable. Anyone tried their service?

This is an interesting alternative. I did call them, and they referred me to the website www.bilsteinus.com and spoke with Arthur. Getting info was like pulling teeth (I'm not a dentist). It appears that the cost for the normal OEM rebuild for my 2000 996 C4 is $65 each. Not bad, considering new at Pelican Parts is $231 each. I think I will do a little more research. If there is anyone else that has used this rebuild service please let me know about your experience. TIA

I am going to try to do mine over the holidays, so it will be a while. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Upgrading my car is not in the budget, and my better half hated my PSS-9s on my last car (even set reasonably soft), so I am happy to stay with stock for the most reasonable cost. No more garage queens for me- I bought this car on a budget, and have been driving it daily for over a year. I admit I would like to upgrade to the M030 sways, however.
