hello everyone,
i have taken off my summer wheels/tires and replaced them with the winter setup. my rear tires look quite tired. i was hoping i could get some feedback on the wear pattern. i use factory tire pressure. the photo is of the rears. the right tire goes on right rear, and left on left. they appear to have worn rather evenly, though the inners of both are worse. car tracks straight. thanks for comments.

That looks pretty similar to my tire wear patterns. My inner edges also wear faster. How many miles do you have on the tires in the photo?

Same here on N specs and factory pressure on a C2 - 2 sets of Conti's and 1 set of Bridgestones that appear to be wearing the same. Dealer says it is normal given factory alignment specs and my driving style- but boy would I love a few more miles out of the rears. I will guesstimate that I get about 12k miles out of the rears.

Those tires do not look too bad. That's not much inner edges vs. outer edges wear differences.
Run the winter tires then come spring when you switch back to the summer tires and install new rear tires have the car treated to a 4-wheel alignment.
Sincerely,
Macster.

No air showing through plenty of meat for a couple more seasons.![thumbsup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/bigok.gif)
My Michelins looked like that also @~8k. When the time came I mounted Hankooks for replacement. They have ~6k now and look like there is ~10k left.
It will be interesting to compare tire life.

gentlemen,
thanks for your reviews. miles on tires 11.9k. ouch. on the other hand i believe i can use them in the spring for a bit before replacing them! then a set of rears, front ballance, and allignment.

10k and over miles and over is considered good amount of use for rears....if those are 12k you are doing great..
unless you have a sickness that wonder why/how they lasted so long...![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I bet you if you really try, you can wear the next set out in 1/2 as many miles BUTU have twice as many smiles

You might think through whether the time and cost to remount these is worth the 1-2k more miles you will get out of them before having to return to the tire guy to get new ones installed.

Loo kpretty normal t ome as I have the same wear patterns on my C4S. I also get about 12-15K on rears before replacement. The uneven wear is the price we pay for having a - 1.5 degree of negative camber in the rears as "spec". Demosan
