Default sunroof buffetting

hello everyone,
i have an observation i would like to share. while the windows are closed, but the sunroof open i get a rather pronounced wind vibration in the cabin, a sort of resonance. some speeds louder than others, but still there. if i close the roof say 2 inches, poof resonance gone. anyone else or am i crazy?

I've experienced the buffetting but have not tried the partial close. Will try it tomorrow and advise.

Yah acting air cooled does that

There is cracking a side window till it goes away or possibly differing the sunroof opening till it settles on no buffeting. Happens to everyone so you aren't cursed by the wind or car.

Isn't that why there are two "settings"? Click once and it opens all the way except for the last few inches, click the button again and it opens the rest of the way.

The manual says the first setting is optimal for noise.

Let's not pretend they are mutually exclusive.

Well known issue. Crack a window.

It's as close as we can get to being air-cooled....but it still doesn't work. Common to our 996s, buffeting.

I've had that happen on all of my cars, too. Porsche and otherwise. At certain speeds it can be quite impressive.

Getting my head ready for the approaching winter, plus I was tired of the old avatar.
