Really? I've had 5 stock catalytic converters fail the same way every time: the upstream catalyst core becomes dislodged, and slides about 1.5" towards and often into the central O2 sensor which will then result in the check engine light if the core gets crushed into the sensor itself. A Fabspeed pipe has tapered ends that surround the core so it can't slide out of position like the stock system. In what way have you seen the Fabspeeds fail?

the ones we have seen fail (100 & 200 cell designs) did not just shift the cores broke down into small pieces and start coming out of the pipe. Even with the flared ends once it starts breaking down its all over.
