I have never heard of diminished value comp - thanks for the tip, will read the fine print.

The C4S has a higher value here, surely a repair will not pass beyond $ 40k?

It might not come to 40K but that panel is totally inter-graded into the "frame" which basically everything is bolted to... so it could get real close $$$.

If they suggest cutting the panel of and welding a new one on I would say... no.

Some cold case detective from NY is investigating Jack the Ripper right now on TV and I can see the ripper has relatives where you are. That's some brutal damage. Glad you weren't between the two cars.

Hopefully insurance cleans things up with you getting a fresh 911.
