Default FISTER D owners: do I need to get the plated version?

When you got the mufflers from Fister D were they in bad shape/rusty/discolored or were they clean

Clean - in excellent condition. Really love the sound! Lots of positive comments from other Porsche owners. I had a lady with a Turbo wishing she could get a set for her car.

Darin does fantastic work. I sent him mine and got mine back, since they were low mileage units......oh yeah, Did I tell you that I simply love them! Could be best mod on the car......

Mine were very clean as well. Darin does a standup job in my opinion.

I didn't do the swap thing. I bought a set of low mileage used cans from a fellow Rennlister and sent them to Darin for the mod. They came back modded and shiny. I've had them on since December (more or less, long story) and still get a thrill every time I drive the car.

Darin puts good qualify stuff. Mine was a swap and I got pretty clean mufflers.

Same with mine. I did the swap for a set he had already modified. The ones I received looked almost new.

Darin does a great job!

Thanks everyone : now the question is: Where did you guys (for those who didn't DIY) go to get it installed? Did you go to a specialty porsche shop, or any ol meineke / gas station mechanic? My car is a DD throughout the winter - I'm sure those clamps / screws etc are rusty...
