Default Litronic Headlight Electrical Problem. Please Help

Here is what happens:

Some days ago I noticed passenger side low beam not working. Need a new bulb obviously.

But then, the next day it works. So I keep enjoying the car until again after starting in the morning the same bulb is dead. I turned the engine off and on again and the bulb miracously works again!

It kept doing this some more times until the bulb stopped working completely so I changed the bulb and all was fine for a day but then, again, it started the same story. You never know when the bulb will be on or off. So far it works if ignition is off and on again.

What could that be? Did somebody have the same problem?

Please help.

That's what it sounds like - the ballast/ignitor. Also - these bulbs change considerably in color temperature and intensity over their lifespan, so hopefully you changed both bulbs.

i've had this problem in the past with other cars, it can be either the bulb or the ballast. if either one is at the end of its life cycle, they can do that. In one car, it was the bulb that was going bad and would come on and off, but in another case it was the ballast.

not much help i guess but its just some knowledge i have.
