That is about the 3rd time that guy lists those on ebay. i picked up a set for $300 and I thought that was steep although I could use the 2 small cases but $1k for that set is nuts. It's a dealer in MA so probably sold the car and kept the luggage as seems to be common.

Now that you mention it I remember this dealer when I was looking for a 40th Anniversary 911! They had one they claimed was their Dad's one owner they we selling with 17K on it for 47K at the time (2 yrs ago) - it must be the luggage from that car. They should have included it with the car when they sold it!

It's not a Porshe dealer - just a "high end" type of mom & pop place with Ferrari, Porsche, MB, BMW etc.

Maybe I will call them out and lowball them

I think the luggage thing is more becasue our 40th AE cars were sold with it and kind of nice to have matching luggage with the car. Honestly I doubt I will even use it much as I already have luggage for that but like I said nice to have but no way i would have paid $1k for it.

Now I just need to find the 2 small cases and I am set, LOL.

Hi, Mick - I lucked into my set (here's my posting about it: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...nd-faq-15.html). They tend to show up periodically on eBay, many times on the foreign (especially German) sites. By the grace of God my set had all 4 pieces, most don't. I'm constantly scanning the web for 40AEs to add to the registry and run across them once in a while. If I see a set I'll let you know.

On a related note, what number is your 40AE? I'd like to add you to the registry. The registry link is in my signature below.
