Replace Ignition Switch - now radio stays on with key out
I swapped out a failed ignition switch this morning. Replacement part was from a well-known distributor and was made in Germany. Now my radio and dummy lights are staying on with the key out of the ignition. Also, I can no longer lock the doors with the Key FOB wirelessly - but can lock and unlock manually. Any suggestions before the battery dies? Many thanks in advance -

The raidio and lights stay on as long as you are in the car they should go out and radio off after you exit the car and close the door.Especially if you lock the car. After the key comes out and i close the door My lights stay on ,but radio goes out sooner.

I would say you need another switch, one from the P dealer or a known OEM part. It is possible you got a bad switch. However, the lights and radio staying on for a few minutes after the key is removed is normal operation.

Sounds like the switch isn't registering the removal of the key...
Wouldn't expect cars down under to be wired that differently, after getting out of mine the dummy lights do stay on on a time delay ~30 sec or turn off immediately once I lock the car. The radio turns off immediately on removal of the key from the barrel.
But, if I turn the car off but leave the key in the ignition lights and radio are on, press the remote and the LED on the dash lights up but does not lock the car.
I agree with Goldenwarrior1 and start at the switch.
Good luck.
