I deal with paint defect issues all the time and nine times out of ten 3M Finnesse it (r) will take care of it. (on fresh ****) Just a little on a rag by hand no sandpaper or compounds just finnesse-it.

start with the least abrasive solution...which in this case should be a good rubbing compound and a dual action.

if that doesn't work, you may want to try a rotary, and finally if that doesn't work, you can lightly wetsand.

If I were you, I'd try to get some paint measurements before getting to aggressive.

How do you guys ever get anything done up there with it raining everyday? If I couldn't sit outside and enjoy the weather on the weekends I would go nuts. My car would also never see the light of day!!

+1 on finnesse-it. I also use that stuff to restore vintage guitars.

Couldn't agree more with that last point.
