Default "MPH Limit Exceeded" message - make it go away!!

Yes, I read the manual (RTFM!!).

Yes, I know how to turn the cruise control on and off.

Ok, here's the problem: when spooling up from a dead stop, I get a "MPH Limit Exceeded" message. How do I make it go away? The manual does not seem to address this issue, and turning the cruise control on and off does nothing to alleviate it wither. I even set the cruise while I was on I95 at about 70-ish. The message was waiting for me.

2003 C2, btw.

Help!!!

It is not the cruise control but probably your limit setting is too low.

Go into the menu on and go into "limit" and set the limit to higher mph.

Have your Dachshund do it.

Cool

In case you still haven't figured it out, it is one of the items you scroll through in the trip computer section of your gauges. To completely zero it out so that it never comes on again, simply start the car, drive somewhere, while driving there scroll to the speed limit setting, and then...
pull back (not necessary to pull hard, just to the stop) on the computer control stick for about 5 seconds. The display should then show a dash instead of a number.
The warning will never come on again.

I would just get a louder exhaust... it cures all gongs, creaks and wife chatter.

Honestly, I never even knew these cars had that kind of thing available as an option. Almost depresses me a bit to learn that a Porsche 911 now has a computer to tell you you're going too fast...isn't that the whole point?

Same thing with the parking sensors you could get on the 996...not only are they godawful ugly, but who's having trouble parking a 996?

I've got mine set at 174 mph. I don't want to exceed the manufacturers' spec for mine.

I would go to the nearest police department and turn myself in.
